MA Associate Joins UnidosUS for National Education Summit Panel
Molera Alvarez Associate, Government Affairs, Francisco Pastor-Rivera, recently participated as a panelist at the UnidosUS National Education Summit, held June 11–13th at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Hosted by UnidosUS, the nation’s largest Hispanic/Latino civil rights organization, the summit brought together policymakers, educators, and advocates to discuss the future of education in Latino communities.
Pastor-Rivera, President of the Phoenix Union High School District Governing Board, joined New Mexico House Speaker Javier Martinez and California State Senator Sasha Renée Pérez for a discussion on the impact of recent federal policies on public education.
The panel also explored opportunities for collaboration among California, Arizona, and New Mexico on key issues affecting students, families, and educational systems across the Southwest.
