Molera Alvarez Pays Tribute to Joe Anderson
Molera Alvarez was saddened to hear of the sudden passing of our friend Joe Anderson. Joe was an Arizona icon who personified the spirit of this state. He not only helped to create our state’s renowned Medicaid system (AHCCCS) when he served in the Babbitt Administration (a system that many called the gold standard because it was replicated across the country), he also built Schaller Anderson, a healthcare management company, which demonstrated how businesses could provide high-quality care by maintaining manageable costs. Arizona certainly benefited from his vision.
“Early on, Joe hired us to represent Schaller Anderson as well as the entities they managed, including Mercy Care,” noted MA partner Jaime Molera. Molera continued, “While Joe was a tenacious and shrewd businessman, he always felt that profits shouldn’t drive the business, but by focusing on exceptional health services and management, our entire state would benefit enormously, and the company would witness great success. He proved it.”
Our thoughts and prayers go to his wife Mary and all his family. Molera Alvarez is indebted to his faith in us. He will always have a place in our hearts.
