The forum featured Marcelo Mereles Gras, Partner at Mexico City-based energy consultancy EnergeA (pictured above right), and José García Torres, President of the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Binational Office Mexico (pictured above left). Mr. Mereles addressed the reforms to Mexico’s state energy company PEMEX, applying his expertise as former head of international affairs and financial analysis coordinator at PEMEX. Mr. García Torres highlighted the many business opportunities he sees in the energy sector through his consulting career and 30 years of government experience, including his work at Mexico’s leading industrial development bank. Mayor Stanton opened the event and the forum was moderated by Andres Martinez, Editorial Director of Zócalo Public Square and Special Advisor to Arizona State University President Michael Crow.
