Banner Aetna was a silver sponsor for the 2023 AZ County Supervisors Policy Summit hosted at Northern Arizona University by Coconino County. Banner Aetna Sales VP Tracey Lyons and Molera Alvarez VP Claude Mattox attended to network with Supervisors and staff. The summit brings together County Supervisors from all Arizona counties to discuss important issues affecting their counties and looking forward to the upcoming 2024 legislative session.

Different than City Councils, County Supervisors provide regional leadership over unincorporated areas on critical policies, including ensuring safe communities, protecting public health, promoting economic development, and planning and managing land use for sustainable development. County supervisors also provide important oversight of county operations, including overseeing strategies to promote sound fiscal management, flood control, library districts and to develop a high-quality county government workforce to serve all constituents in their respective counties.

Former Maricopa County Recorder and current AZ Secretary of State Adrian Fontes was the keynote speaker discussing the state of elections in Arizona. Federal, state and local elections are conducted by individual counties in Arizona.
