Molera Alvarez leading collaboration between Arizona and Mexico business chambers
This month, Molera Alvarez hosted an introductory meeting between several Arizona business chambers and the Mexican Council for Foreign Trade, Northeast (COMCE Noreste) to explore opportunities to promote bilateral trade and economic development between Northeastern Mexico and Arizona. COMCE Noreste is a business association that promotes foreign trade and international business in the northeastern Mexican states of Nuevo Leon (which includes the capital city of Monterrey), Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Durango, and Chihuahua, which produced a combined $176 billion in exports in 2019. COMCE Noreste’s membership includes Mexican companies representing the region’s strongest manufacturing industries the likes of Navistar, Carrier, Whirlpool, and John Deere, as well as customs brokers, transportation, and professional services companies. Leaders of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Arizona Black Chamber of Commerce, and Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce learned about key economic indicators of Northeastern Mexico and expressed a desire to develop a formal collaboration with COMCE Noreste to strengthen the Arizona-Mexico region’s position as a hub for cultivating and launching leading companies. Molera Alvarez will be facilitating this exchange – please reach out to Carmen Ronan at cr@ma-firm.com if you’d like to learn more.
