Mercy Care Arizona hosts luncheon at League Conference

At the recent Arizona League of Cities and Towns annual conference, Mercy Care Arizona, a local not-for-profit Medicaid health plan, hosted a private lunch for city and state officials to discuss the role Mercy Care plays in their respective communities. Deputy CEO, Tad D. Gary led the discussion on how Mercy Care collaborates with school districts, law enforcement agencies and community partners, like Farm Express, to improve lives. AHCCCS (Arizona’s Medicaid state agency) recently awarded Mercy Care a Regional Behavioral Health Agreement to expand integrated health care for persons with a serious mental illness (SMI) designation and crisis services for anyone in Gila and Pinal starting on October 1st. Mercy Care, which has been serving Arizona residents since 1985, discussed with these community leaders on ways to further collaborate in these expanded areas to create healthier communities. The Mercy Care team looks forward to continuing their mission to ensure Arizonans receive the best possible health care.
