Mayor Regina Romero Meets with Key Phoenix Leaders

The Honorable Regina Romero, Mayor of the City of Tucson, visited Phoenix on August 16-17, 2022, to meet with various community and business leaders to discuss issues of mutual importance to Arizona’s two largest cities.

She met with representatives from community, educational and business organizations to share some of the City of Tucson’s initiatives and listen to examples of best practices with regards to community development efforts being implemented in Phoenix. Mayor Romero was elected Tucson Mayor in November of 2019, becoming the first woman and first Latina Mayor of Tucson, as well as the only Latina Mayor in the 50 largest U.S. cities.
