Managing Partner Ruben Alvarez receives the Virginia E. Cárdenas Award at Xico’s 36th Annual Dinner and Art Auction
On February 24, 2024, Managing Partner Ruben Alvarez received the 2024 Virginia E. Cárdenas Arts Advocate Award from Xico, Inc. After Virginia’s untimely passing in 2012, Xico established the award that bears her name to honor Virginia’s legacy as a passionate advocate for arts and culture, particularly those of the Latino and indigenous communities. This year Ruben was recognized for his continuous contributions to the arts community through his involvement in organizations such as CALA Alliance, Phoenix Art Museum, and the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies.
