The Latino Leaders Network Convention Series consists of two events during the 2024 National Democratic and Republican party conventions to present the Eagle Leadership Award to a worthy Latino leader from each political party.

2024 Convention Series Reception in Milwaukee

The Latino Leaders Network honored Danny Vargas, Chairman Emeritus of the Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino, with the prestigious Eagle Leadership Award at the 2024 Convention Series Reception in Milwaukee on July 16th. Speakers included Chairman Mickey Ibarra, LLN CEO & Molera Alvarez Managing Partner Ruben Alvarez, the Hon. On August 20th, the Latino Leaders Network hosted their 2024 Convention Series Luncheon in Chicago with over 800 guests in attendance. Julie Chávez Rodriguez, Harris Walz campaign manager, received the Eagle Leadership Award for her profound impact on the Latino community. U.S. Senator Alex Padilla delivered an inspiring keynote address, and Maria Teresa Kumar, President and CEO of Voto Latino, was presented with the Chairman’s Award. Speakers included Clerk Iris Martinez, Chairwoman Elizabeth Hernandez, Hon. Miguel Cardona, Congressman Pete Aguilar, Congresswoman Nanette Barragán, and the Hon. Antonio Villaraigosa.
