Molera Alvarez, on behalf of the Arizona-Mexico Commission (AMC), coordinated events for Mexican dignitaries attending Governor Doug Ducey’s inauguration on January 5, 2015. With a message of “it’s a new day in Arizona,” Governor Ducey communicated his genuine interest in a strong bilateral relation with Mexico, our number one trading partner. The events included meetings with Governor Guillermo Padres Elias of Sonora and other Mexican dignitaries, as well as a luncheon hosted by the AMC for our Mexican guests who came for the inauguration from Sonora, Baja California, Chihuahua, Mexico City, and the Mexican Federal Government. Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton was a guest of honor at the luncheon along with other community leaders.
