Arizona Correctional Professionals Day took place at the Arizona State Capitol to honor both state and private prison correctional officers. Before the program, State Senator Frank Pratt gave the officers an update on the legislative session and answered questions. CoreCivic’s Will Barnow emceed the event, while the Town of Florence Mayor Tara Walter, U.S Marshal David Gonzales, State Representative Regina Cobb, and State Senators Sonny Borrelli, and Vince Leach all gave remarks to express the important role that correctional officers play in keeping Arizona safe.
