AzLTA Partners with AHLA on Hospitality for Hope
The Arizona Lodging and Tourism Association (AzLTA) has partnered with the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) on their Hospitality for Hope Initiative, which aims to connect the health community around the nation with lodging and support as the COVID-19 public health crisis continues to unfold. The program has identified over 6,500 properties across the country in close proximity to established health care facilities that are willing to work with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), in coordination with the US Army CORPS of Engineers and local emergency management and public health agencies. To help match participating properties with federal, state, and local governments, AHLA is also working to create searchable databases at both the federal level with HHS and at the local level with industry partner state associations such as AzLTA.
