Latino Leaders Network Hosts 40th Tribute to Mayors
The Latino Leaders Network (LLN) hosted the 40th Tribute to Mayors reception on Friday, June 21st, at the Loews Kansas City Hotel site of the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM) summer meeting in Kansas City.
The reception honored Mayor Paulette Guajardo of Corpus Christi with the Antonio Villaraigosa Leadership Award. This award is presented annually to a mayor from a city with a large Latino population who has showcased an exceptional commitment to bridging cultural divides within their community. Additionally, Mayor John Giles of Mesa received special recognition at the event, as Mayor Regina Romero of Tucson presented him with the Champion Award.
