Molera Alvarez partner Jaime A. Molera participated in a panel for the Flinn Brown Fellows discussing his role in leading the business/health coalition to pass Medicaid Expansion/Restoration in Arizona. The panel was moderated by Beth Kohler, and he was joined by Heather Carter, Garrick Taylor, and Deb Gullett. On the ten year anniversary of this momentous policy battle, the organizer (Dawn Wallace, who oversees the Flinn Brown program) wanted the Fellows to gain an understanding of what it takes to succeed in organizing significant (and controversial) legislation. Molera recounted the major role each person on the panel played and lauded former Governor Jan Brewer for her steadfast leadership in this effort. Molera said he appreciated the opportunity to lead this coalition and noted that much can get accomplished when the full force of Arizona’s business community becomes engaged.
