Advancing the City of Phoenix Footprint into Mexico
Mayor Greg Stanton and leadership from various Phoenix Metro economic development organizations met with Jesús Antonio Valdés Palazuelos, Mayor Elect of the City of Culiacán, in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico at an event hosted by the Arizona-Mexico Commission, Polsinelli and the City of Phoenix this month. Margie Emmermann and James Ahlers representing Molera Alvarez were present to hear Mayor Elect Valdés talk about his great interest in establishing a robust economic agenda with the Greater Phoenix region to advance business opportunities of mutual interest for both sides of the border. Mayor Stanton in his remarks re-emphasized the importance of a strong relationship on all fronts with our number one trading partner, Mexico. The Mayors agreed to identify ways for their cities to work together once the Mayor is inaugurated.
