Molera Alvarez Partner Testifies at Clean Elections Commission Meeting
On August 20, 2015, Jaime A. Molera testified to the Clean Elections Commission on behalf of Molera Alvarez clients – Greater Phoenix Leadership, Southern Arizona Leadership Council, and Flagstaff 40 – against the proposed Commission rule change that would greatly expand the authority over Arizona’s election process and usurp the authority of Michele Reagan, Arizona’s Secretary of State. While the three primary concerns are: process and lack of vetting; jurisdictional overreach; and suppression of constitutionally protected free speech, Molera urged the Commission to pursue changes in the oversight of our elections processes with the Governor, Legislature, and Secretary of State’s office.
