City of Phoenix and Molera Alvarez launch cross-border Entrepreneurship Leaders Connection

The Office Pile Round Tabel

The City of Phoenix and Molera Alvarez have established the Entrepreneurship Leaders Connection (ENLACE) to bring together entrepreneurs and startups from Arizona and Mexico. The launch event in December convened leaders of the Arizona and Mexico entrepreneurial ecosystems to address barriers to cross-border entrepreneurship and to identify opportunities for joint ventures.

The program included a roundtable discussion with Mayor Greg Stanton and Councilman Daniel Valenzuela at The Office Pile co-working space. The Mexico delegates from Startup Mexico, Green Momentum and the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey Sonora campus joined counterparts from Arizona State University, the Arizona Commerce Authority and City of Phoenix Community and Economic Development Department, among other entrepreneurship leaders. The delegation also toured local incubators and startup successes such as the Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation (CEI) and WebPT. The events were sponsored by the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, Snell & Wilmer, Alliance Bank, Arizona Public Service, and the Arizona-Mexico Commission.
