On October 24, 2012, CALA Alliance hosted the inaugural Sabor! Culinary Festival. The dinner event showcased 14 of the top chefs in the Metro Phoenix area and was held to benefit Latino arts & culture in Phoenix. The event co-chairs were Chef Frank Belosic, Executive Chef of the Phoenician Resort and Chef Roberto Madrid of Deseo Restaurant at the Westin Kierland Resort. Molera Alvarez Managing Partner Ruben Alvarez chaired the event along with Phoenix City Manager David Cavazos who was the Honorary Chair.
